This franchise is owned by Qatar Lubricants Company Limited (QALCO). AB De Villiers is expected to be the captain of the Lahore Qalandars team while Shaheen Shah Afridi is the Ambassador of the side. It is the second most expensive franchise in PSL after Karachi Kings.

TITLE NAME & LOGO:
Fawad Rana owner of the team launched its name as “Lahore Qalandars” on 12 December 2015. “Qalandar” is a famous term and it describes the Sufi mystics or saints whose shrines attract millions of devotees and tourists around the world. The Logo of Lahore Qalandars’ features a Sufi performing the famous Sufi whirling along with three stumps to his right and a cricket ball in the bottom, and its represent the Sufi culture of the Punjab (Lahore). Lahore Qalandars’ kit colour was red & black in first edition of PSL 2016 but in second edition 2017 red colour turning into green colour.

2016 Edition:
In first edition of Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2016, Lahore Qalandars key players were Chris Gayle, Umar Akmal, Dwayne Bravo, Azhar Ali & Yasir Shah. Azhar Ali was the captain of the side. Team ended at last position at the points table. It played 8 T20 matches in 2016 edition and only win two of them.
2017 Edition:
In second edition of PSL 2017, Chris Gayle was traded against Sohail Tanvir and Sohaib Maqsood was traded against Aamer Yamin. Dwayne Bravo & Anton Devcich was replaced against Jason Roy & James Franklin. Shaun Tait was replaced against Chris Green. In 2017 edition Brandon McCullum was signed as captain of the side. In spite of these changes Lahore Qalandars team cannot perform well and repeat its previous performance. It played 8 matches in 2017 (2nd edition of PSL) but only can win three out of it. It remains as last number team in group round.
Now in Pakistan Super League (PSL) T20 2018 Lahore Qalandars Squad looks very decent and plenty of very good T20 International players are part of the team. It is hoped that team will perform well in this tournament. Still Pakistan Super League 2018 Schedule not been announced by Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).
